Try working in a coal tipple for 60+ hours a week and so how grumpy you get.

HAHA, a year or two ago LPDFTBL or NOLA would have banned those folks before the threads got up.

Re: thanks for ruining this forum!!

Just to show some how un-cut and dry things can be. Technically, by the posts made in this very thread, people violated rules. I mean for the profanity filter to kick in, someone had to cuss. People talk about posts being worthless or no good discussions, and refer to people being dumbasses. That's what makes it so difficult, a good portion don't realize things because they know what they mean/intend but don't know what others mean/intend, we can't see physical things, someone smiling as they type something, meaning it a humorous way, etc.

It's funny that we say 'ban them' for breaking the rules and maybe thats what needs to be done more, but what always amazes me is that some of the very first people who scream to ban people, are as guilty of things that could get them banned and they don't see it.

As for the nature of the board previously, you're right, there was some good posters, some good content, and things seldom got too bad, but likewise, the forum was less known, there was less people, and it was more of your enthusiasts and not that often people who just was trying to stir things up. That happens when things get bigger, look at any other forum, as they get bigger, you have more people who want to be a beacon of controversy, not actually discuss things.

If at all possible, the avatars will be re-enabled today. I haven't gotten them all down, but the point was I hope made. It's easy to sit there, come on for whatever time you come on, and throws rocks at us, and maybe we deserve it, maybe we do allow things to go on that shouldn't, I'm all for looking and placing blame on myself. However you sit there and don't know the 30 private messages from people who complain nearly 1/2 for something or 1/2 against. Trying to explain a reason for something, and having someone tell you that you're 100% right in one post, and 100% a horse's arse in another for the same thing. It makes it difficult for us to get on here and actually discuss anything.

The board setting still isn't 100% working right, hostboard is trying to figure out why some things are doing what they do. Hopefully that will be straightened out soon. Then I can post the rules, but when the avatars are back on, if someone puts something I deem to far, they will be told and warned. You can express your opinion but I say well I understand but change it, thats it, no appeal process, it goes. If not, you go. If people get on here with no purpose but to be idiots, warned and then gone. I don't mind the wrestlers, as long as they don't infiltrate other theads trying to do promos, I dont know mind the band (ok I find them great actually, because they do it in a thread, have fun and don't harm anybody), if someone wants to be a gay character, hey more power to them, but if they start going outside of the thread and harassing, they will be gone too. That being said, the users need to not go in the thread and complain about them and tell their 'gay butts' to leave or the like.

Ok rant over.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

Try doing that many hours underground after 27 years and see how you feel. And with the number of deaths the Fed and State are "helping" us all they can, everything is under the spotlight.
